The country's famous resort Boracay and Bali of Indonesia would forge a sisterhood agreement on trade and tourism.
Tim Ticar of the Department of Tourism-Boracay said Indonesian Consul R. Toto Waspodo visited the resort island to explore the possibility of the sisterhood agreement.
"The towns of Kalibo and Malay including this resort island were part of the proposal to forge pact for a sisterhood agreement," Ticar said Wednesday.
Waspodo who arrived in Kalibo on Tuesday met with local government and tourism officials to explore the possibilities.
Officials from both countries believed the sisterhood program will boost tourism and trade in South East Asia.
