The Korean community in this resort island will give a P50,000 cash reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of the shooter of a Korean spa manager here.
The reward will expedite the resolution of Jin Won Lee’s case, according to Senior Inspector Fidel Gentallan, the new Boracay Tourist Assistance Center chief.
“We welcome the efforts of the Korean community,” Gentallan said. “We are doing everything we can to arrest the suspect.”
Lee is currently recuperating in a private hospital in Kalibo, Aklan. His attacker remains unidentified as of press time.
Police recently released a facial composite sketch of the suspect.
Investigators were yet to determine the motive behind the shooting.
The island’s tourism is booming partly because of the Koreans, who remain to have the highest population here among other foreign tourists.
