DPWH to light Aklan’s tourism highway

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has allocated P50 million to install lighting system in Aklan’s tourism highway in 2013.
DPWH said the fund will come from their Road Board Fund to light roads from the Kalibo International Airport (KIA) to Caticlan, Aklan.
First to be lighted are areas where the road widening project has been completed such as the highways of Kalibo, Numancia and Caticlan in Malay.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Aklan has already endorsed the project as part of the requirements set by the Road Board Fund.
