Boracay vigilance against prostitution, theft as peak season starts

The Boracay Tourists Action Center of the Philippine National Police (PNP) here is on alert against prostitution and theft as this resort island once again enters the 'super peak season'.

The super peak season starts in the month of September and ends last week of May. This season also signals to different resorts here to increase their respective hotel rates due to anticipated influx of both foreign and local tourists coming.

Police officials said that they are on alert against prostitution particularly sex workers who take advantage of their clients.

Tourism officials are targeting 1.5 million tourists this year.
